The problem
Hotels, resorts, homestays, guest houses and hostels all sell rooms. That is where the resemblance ends. A hostel sells beds inside a room. A resort sells packages around one. A guest house runs on an owner's calendar and a phone. Build for any one of them and the other four break.
Most platforms solve this by picking a vertical. Orayo needed all five, plus a booking engine, plus voice, on one system.
What I built
- Property management and booking engine spanning five property types, each with its own feature surface
- Speech interfaces in both directions, so operators can work without a screen
- Native iOS client alongside the web application
- Deployment and infrastructure on Azure
The result
Live and in active development since February 2025. Five property categories served from a single platform.
The engagement has continued for over eighteen months and expanded into additional products.
